Let's see. I have moved more times than I am years old. I have one younger brother. He's a Cowboy. My Dad is a Cowboy. My Mom is a Cowgirl. I can ride a horse, but I don't profess to be good at it.
I'm married. My husband is incredible. He's more than I could have imagined, were I contemplating the Perfect Man. I know the Perfect Man doesn't exist, but he's so close, it's scary!
Speaking of lucky, I traveled the world for 5 years as a Ship's Photographer. Then I met my husband. He worked on cruise ships as well. I've traveled with him off and on for the past 5 years. I loved exploring new parts of the world & I really miss the travel. Now we're transitioning to land, finding our sea legs and becoming land lubbers! Our new home will be in Penticton, BC.
We have no children, but we do have 4-legged children. One is a miniature dapple Dachshund named Valentina. She's trained in Italian & she's very smart. Just like her Mama! We also have a black & tan Dachshund named Oceana. She's loveable & excitable and her big brown eyes will win your heart over! In October of 2011 I fell victim to poor-lonely-puppy-suffering-in-petshop syndrome & we now have a Miniature Pinscher named Kudu. He has been living in South Africa with Oupa & Ouma. I'm excited to bring him to Canada & join the girls. And of course, we have Adios, the cat. He's 12 & is more like a lion than a cat. He's big, he owns the place & he loves attention! Adios and 'the girls' stay with Nonna in Canada.
I started this blog as a way to keep friends & family in the loop on my health status. I was diagnosed with Nodular Sclerosing Hodgkin's Lymphoma in March of 2008. The 12th of September, 2011 was the day I received the best news ever - no active cancer & no more treatment! Yay!
