Day 363 - West Ed & The Shermans!

What a crazy & big place West Ed is! I think we managed to mosey out of the hotel room just before noon. They were moving our bags to the Roman Room for the evening, so we had to pack up our stuff before we left the Western Room.

We checked out the pirate ship & the seal stage & then we found the waterpark. Jaco was quite keen to go on the waterslides, but he was slightly discouraged when he found out some of the better slides were closed & they still wanted $33 to go inside! We gave the waterpark a miss. Of course, Galaxyland was the same. $33 for the rides & he's not so keen on rides in any case. I blacked out on the roller coaster when I was there 5 years ago, so my feelings weren't hurt! He had wanted to try ice skating, but when we approached the rink, it was clearly not open skate time. There were several young children & teenagers practicing toe loops, sow cows & all sorts of other manoeuvres that professionally trained skaters do. Prior to seeing them on the ice, I was considering asking if they had a chair or stool I could push around while I skated to help me stay upright! Not going to happen!

After about 4 hours in the Mall, it was time to leave for Kerry & Shawn's. We were headed there for supper tonight. Of course, we left a little bit late & got stuck in traffic. With the fuel light on. I didn't think we would be that far from a gas station. Luckily we made it there just in time!

We had a wonderful meal at the Sherman's. Miley was upset with Jaco & I. Apparently she doesn't like men without hair. Or women! In the end, she bonded with Jaco & wouldn't leave his side. Alina entertained us with her stories about Halloween, ringette & school days. Mason performed his newest songs in piano for us & also a little hockey in the garage. Kerry relived her Gaga concert for me & Shawn finished work just in time to squeeze in a quick visit with us before we had to go. It was a FABULOUS night!

When we returned to the hotel, our room was AWESOME! We had a big round bed, with draping curtains all around it. The mirrors on the ceiling were a bit much, but 'when in Rome'... There were a few 'marble' statues in the room & the one statue featured the spout to the big tub. We filled the tub & enjoyed another soak. My muscles are going to get used to this pampering! We watched an episode of The Office on real live TV!!! Wow! What a luxury!!! :o)

What a great day! Tomorrow we're off to Boyle to see the Romanyshyn's! (It's pronounced just like it looks!) :o)
